Terra will host a wine dinner with guest Matt Licklider, co-founder (along with Kevin O’Connor, wine director at Spago-Beverly Hills) of Lioco Winery named Wine & Spirits Magazine “2009 Winery of the Year,” on Tuesday, September 15. The dinner will feature Lioco wines and the opportunity to buy bottles for a bargain price. Seating will be limited and advance tickets are available for $60.
“Columbia doesn’t often get a chance like this,” said Chef Mike Davis, who is delighted to bring Licklider to Terra from Lioco Winery’s wild vines in California. “We always have a great time at the wine dinners, but this will be a special night. Lioco wines have such unique flavors that frame our food at Terra so well. Each course’s pairing will be interesting.”
Chef Davis and Terra’s Certified Specialist of Wine, Howard Jarrett, have sung the praises of Lioco Winery for over a year, lauding its hands-on winemaking process and their wines’ unique flavor. He plans to accompany these rich, unfiltered wines with a delicious menu, with the signature Terra twist – using as many fresh, local ingredients as possible.
Terra is located just over the Gervais Street bridge at 100 State Street in West Columbia. To learn more about Terra, visit www.TerraSC.com or call (803) 791-3443. See what’s for dinner – follow Terra @TerraSC.
